What is the real truth behind health and fitness

By James Steele

It is usually a good idea to ignore the idiots at the gym who think they know what they are talking about. There are some great tips to be had from talkers at the gym but you can also inadvertently gain false or even harmful information from those who don't really know what they are talking about. Just like any other situation in life where people don't know as much as they claim to. You'll be best served by taking the advice of trained professionals. You'll get the best information possible with the tips that follow.

Online, you can find all kinds of back pain products and information, including yoga. Yoga is touted as a means for relieving your back pain. There is truth as well as possible assumptions that can be misleading and dangerous. If the cause of your back pain is muscle related than yoga can be helpful. You can stretch and strengthen the muscles in your back by doing yoga. Your back pain will go away as you do that. However, if your back pain is related to bones and related tissue, such as a spinal disc problem, then yoga is not the ticket for you. In this kind of situation, you risk doing more damage by practicing yoga.

The only real way to get results is with the "no pain, no gain" rule. Dangerously incorrect is what that statement really is. In addition, there is very real potential for inflicting serious bodily damage by living that particular motto. The pain of a good workout should not inhibit your other activities. It's important that you follow the "if it hurts don't do it rule" where exercise is concerned. If you are suffering from an injury, it's important to recognize this and stop immediately to avoid making the injury more severe.

Sometimes you can hear people complaining that their body cannot get used to exercising at some particular time of day, or they are too tired at the end of the day. If you know what your natural circadian cycle is you would be able to reset it. If you tried working out in the morning, you may have noticed that your body was letting you know it is too early for that stuff. Your body will adjust to the change, but you have to allow it about 3-4 weeks. Then it will feel totally natural. The more you do it the more energy you will have.

Whether or not what you are reading is true is really in the eye of the beholder, do your research. Doing the research can only benefit you. Before you go out half cocked and exert the energy and time necessary for a change in lifestyle you need to know that you are doing it right. When you have a properly calculated exercise routine based solely on your research you will reap the benefits.
